PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake device of an internal combustion engine capable of providing high responsiveness and an excellent exhaust gas characteristic of output of the internal combustion engine, by quickly and largely increasing supercharging pressure, in acceleration operation. SOLUTION: This intake device 1 has an intake compressor 10a arranged in an intake passage 4 and an exhaust turbine 10b connected to the intake compressor 10a and arranged in an exhaust passage 8, and has a supercharging device 9 for supercharging intake air by driving the exhaust turbine 10b by exhaust gas together with the intake compressor 10a, and increases the exhaust turbine expansion ratio by controlling (Step 7 of Fig.2) so as to reduce downstream side pressure P4 of the exhaust turbine 10b in the exhaust passage 8, when determining as being put in an acceleration operation state (Step 3 of Fig.2 : YES) by determining whether or not the internal combustion engine 3 is put in a predetermined acceleration operation state.
