<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the man-days for processing an inner ring of a double offset type constant speed universal joint. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The double offset type constant speed universal joint is equipped with: an outer ring 10 furnished with circumferential axially stretching ball grooves 16 at constant intervals the inside circumferential surface 14; the inner ring 20 furnished with circumferentially axially stretching ball grooves 26 at constant intervals the peripheral surface 24; balls 30 interposed between the grooves 16 of the outer ring 10 and grooves 26 of the inner ring 20 constituting pairs; and a cage 40 interposed between the outer ring 10 and the inner ring 20 and retaining the balls 30. Each groove 26 in the inner ring 20 consists of: the first regions 28a and 28b including end faces on the shaft inlet side as viewed axially; and the second region as the remainder, in which the second region was solely subjected to a finishing work.
