A control comprises a control unit (3) which is adapted to control an electrically adjustable item of furniture, and a switched mode power supply (2) supplying the control unit (3), which are integrated into a common housing (1) of the control, the switched mode power supply (2) being adapted to be switched to an idle operating state depending on a ready signal. The switched mode power supply (2) comprises in a second stage (22) a switched mode regulator component (223) the supply voltage of which is made available in the idle operating state by a starting circuit (224) in a clocked manner, said starting circuit having an energy store (CR2, CR4) and a resistive element (R4). The energy store (CR2, CR4) and the resistive element (R4) are dimensioned in such a manner that in the idle operating state an interval for charging the energy store (CR2, CR4) is longer than an interval for discharging the energy store (CR2, CR4) by the switched mode regulator component (223). |
