A driver for a switch (SR), method of driving a switch (SR), and a power converter employing the same. In one embodiment, the driver for the switch (SR) includes a first driver switch (Q1) coupled to a terminal of the switch (SR). The driver also includes a second driver switch (Q2) inverted with respect to the first driver switch (Q1) and coupled to another terminal of the switch (SR), wherein the first and second driver switches (Q1, Q2) are configured to provide a drive signal to a control terminal of the switch (SR).
