PURPOSE: A signal transmitting method and a signal receiving method in an MIMO(Multi-Input Multi-Output) system are provided to improve diversity gain by selecting a row vector of precoding matrices according to the number of stream. CONSTITUTION: An Rx(Receiver) transmits transfer rate and channel state information as feedback information to a Tx(Transmitter) at the same cycle(S220). According to the transfer rate or stream number, the transmitter creates a transmitting signal. The transmitter selects a predetermined precoding matrix according to information about precoding matrix information and the transfer rate or the stream number in a predetermined codebook. The transmitter proceeds precoding of the generated signal.
