<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimize control of the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) ratio or an EGR quantity in a negative pressure area where a supercharger does not work, when controlling the EGR ratio or the EGR quantity of an EGR device attached to an internal combustion engine having the supercharger together with intake pipe internal pressure. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A control device 5 is constituted for controlling the EGR ratio or the EGR quantity in its target value, after regarding a deviation between the intake pipe internal pressure and its target value as 0, when a difference between the intake pipe internal pressure and atmospheric pressure is a predetermined threshold value or less or less than that value.
