<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organogel which keeps high mechanical strength and high swelling degree while having durability (hydrolysis resistance), low in solvent volatility and is usable over a wide range of temperatures, and to provide a method for producing the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the organogel includes the following process. A monomer (a1) is dissolved in an organic solvent (a2) followed by polymerization to effect crosslinking to form a first network structure (A). A monomer (b1) is dissolved in an organic solvent (b2) and introduced into the first network structure (A) followed by polymerization of the monomer (b1) to effect crosslinking. A gel thus formed has a mutually intruded network structure composed of the first network structure (A) and the second network structure (B).
