PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color changing hologram, in which colors of images are changed not necessarily in a sequence of rainbow colors but in an optional sequence when an observation position is relatively moved and an observable region with a monochromatic color is wide. SOLUTION: The color changing hologram is a volume hologram 30 comprising a volume hologram recorded with two or more different wavelengths and giving different wavelengths of reproduced images depending on an observation region. When the hologram is irradiated with white reproducing illumination light 6 and the observation position is continuously moved, in a plane including the reproducing illumination light 6 and the normal line of the hologram plane, from a closer position to the reproducing illumination light to a farther position or from the farther position to the close position, images are reproduced with colors changing in a sequence of increasing wavelengths from the close position to the reproducing illumination light to the farther position, or in a sequence with scattered wavelengths, giving skipped color change.
