<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber connector, assembled without a dedicated tool for machining the end face of an optical fiber and work using the dedicated tool. Ž<P>SOLUTION: An optical fiber aligning and machining part 7 for aligning an optical fiber 6 and applying machining such as grinding thereto is provided in the interior of a ferrule 1 or optical fiber end face processing part 8 connected to an optical fiber gripping part 4, whereby when the optical fiber 6 is inserted from the optical fiber gripping part 4 side and rotated to be inserted into the ferrule 1, the end face of the optical fiber 6 is ground and ripple of a cleavage face cut by a fiber cutter is removed. Thus, after reaching the tip face of the ferrule 1, the optical fiber 6 is gripped by the optical fiber gripping part 4 and fixed to assemble the optical fiber connector.
