<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio wave arrival direction estimation apparatus that obtains an accurate estimated value of radio wave arrival direction in an environment where there is a reflected wave and a radio system provided therewith. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The directivity of a variable directivity antenna 10 is changed to a predetermined type of directivity by a directivity control unit 30. Received power when the directivity is changed is detected by a received power detection unit 20 and is stored in a received power storage memory 60. For each changed predetermined type of directivity, the correlation coefficient between a standard power value stored in a standard received power storage memory 40 and the received power value stored in the received power storage memory 60 is calculated. An angle corresponding to the maximum correlation coefficient out of the calculated correlation coefficients is calculated. The calculated maximum correlation coefficient and a preset comparison value of the correlation coefficient are compared to each other. When the maximum correlation coefficient exceeds the comparison value, the angle corresponding to the maximum correlation coefficient is set to be an estimated angle. When the maximum correlation coefficient is the comparison value or less, the angle corresponding to the maximum correlation coefficient is not set to be an estimated angle.
