<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas meter, with an extended measurement range by suppressing generation of vortices inside a multilayer-flow channel part. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A straightening plate 71 is attached to the inner wall of an inlet-flow channel part 21 so as to protrude toward the side of an exit-flow channel part 22. A tubular multilayer-flow channel part, provided with a partitioning plate 73 for straightening the flow of the gas, is disposed in a measurement-flow channel part 23. A flow velocity sensor detects the flow velocity of the gas flowing in the multilayer flow channel part 3. The end part of the multilayer flow channel part 3 at the side of the inlet-flow channel part 21 is provided so as to protrude inside the inlet-flow channel part 21 so that the straightening plate 71 and the multilayer-flow channel part 3 overlap with each other in the vertical direction Y1. A protruding wall is provided at the outer wall of the multilayer-flow channel part 3 so as to protrude toward the straightening plate 71.
