<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal joint having stable rotation resistant torque. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In an outer peripheral face 27 of a trunnion 14a, three angular type annular inner ring raceway grooves 31, 32, 33 are arranged. In an inner peripheral face 39 of a cylindrical portion 37 of an outer ring cup 23, three angular type annular outer ring raceway grooves 41, 42, 43 are arranged. A plurality of balls 24, 25, 26 are interposed between the inner ring raceway grooves 31, 32, 33 and the outer ring raceway grooves 41, 42, 43, respectively. The directions of ball loads of the first ball 24, the second ball 25, and the third ball 26 at contact points between the balls 24, 25, 26 and the inner ring raceway grooves 31, 32, 33 are sloping with respect to the radial direction toward the side of a body 19 as they goes outward.
