Steel seaworthy motor vessel having a length of between 8 and 15 metres. The aim is to achieve a comparatively high speed with a comparatively lower motor power. According to the invention, this is achieved by, on the one hand, limiting the weight of the vessel and, on the other hand, increasing the buoyancy. The increasing of the buoyancy is achieved by making the spray rail wide while the weight is limited by using a thin- walled steel plate material for the ship's shell, by using a lightweight motor and drive and limiting the weight of the boarding as much as possible.
