A sausage is wrapped in a hose net (1) which incorporates a loose slightly snaking rip-thread (3) extending the full length of the sausage. The rip-thread is longer than the sausage hose net. - The rip-thread provides a finger grip loop (7) for exposure of the sausage meat. - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is included for the manufacture of the hose net incorporating a rip thread.
