PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide article storage equipment which can store an article having the starting time and date of a period of service predetermined, while strictly managing the period of service of the article. SOLUTION: This article storage equipment includes: a storage portion which is equipped with a locking device and which houses the article; a starting time and date reception portion which receives the starting time and date of the period of service, associated with the article for being stored in the storage portion; a memory portion which stores the starting time and date received by the starting time and date reception portion; a clocking portion which performs the clocking of the present time and date; and a locking/unlocking control portion which controls the inhibition of the unlocking of the locking device until the present time and date determined by the clocking portion reach the starting time and date stored in the storage portion, after the article is housed in the storage portion.
