PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel poly(lactic acid)-based stereocomplex having characteristics of a conventional poly(lactic acid)-based polymer such as biodegradability, safety, crystallinity and the like, and also having further improved heat resistance, impact resistance and flexibility. SOLUTION: The poly(lactic acid)-based stereocomplex is a mixture of a block copolymer having a segment composed of an L-lactic acid unit at both ends of a segment containing mainly aliphatic carbonate units, and a block copolymer having a segment composed of a D-lactic acid unit at both ends of a segment containing mainly aliphatic carbonate units.
