<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus of measuring curvature of a long hollow body, measuring the degree of curvature of a long hollow body such as a utility pole with a simple apparatus, and easily measuring the degree of curvature irrespective of the installation place of the long hollow body without requiring the installation of extensive facilities. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A means for detecting the state of curvature in a downward direction along the axial center in the top part 1a of the utility pole 1 in a non contact manner is provided at the inner side of the top part of the utility pole 1 or in the vicinity of the inside of the top part. A distance measuring sensor 5 measuring the distance in the downward direction along the axial center α in the top part 1a of the utility pole 1 may constitute the means.
