<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hose holding structure for holding a rubber hose arranged parallel to a metal pipe of an automobile while preventing the contact of the metal pipe even at its bent portion continuous to a straight pipe portion with the rubber hose only by mounting a pipe protector on the straight pipe portion of the metal pipe. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The hose holding structure includes: the metal pipe 30; the rubber hose 40 held parallel to and adjacent to the straight pipe portion 30a of the metal pipe; a holding member 31 for holding the rubber hose 40 in the state that its base end 31b is fixed to the outer peripheral face of the straight pipe portion of the metal pipe and its front end 31a extends sideways to the straight pipe portion of the metal pipe; and the pipe protector 10 mounted on the metal pipe 30 and formed in an approximately C-shaped cross section so that an opening portion extends along the longitudinal direction of the metal pipe. The pipe protector 10 has a body 11 mounted along the outer peripheral face of the straight pipe portion of the metal pipe, and a tongue piece part 12 extending from a part of an end 11a of the body to cover a part of the bent portion 30b of the metal pipe.
