PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle speed control device changing the speed of a vehicle only when a driver of the vehicle recognizes a speed limit and preventing the driver from feeling discomfort or having a sense of incongruity. SOLUTION: The vehicle speed control device includes: a switch 6 which is arranged in a vehicle cabin and allows the driver to operate and input; a gaze direction detecting part 5 which detects the viewing position of the driver; and a gaze target determining part 7 which determines input from the switch 6 while the position of a road sign or road mark coincides with the viewing position of the driver. When the gaze target determining part 7 determines input from the switch 6 while the position of the road sign or road mark coincides with the viewing position of the driver, a speed control section 8 controls the speed of a vehicle to keep a limited speed.
