摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating method which repairs a carbon steel such as a high carbon steel used as a machine structural material in a short period of time and in a simple manner while avoiding influence of application of heat on a base material and a repair material. SOLUTION: In the method for depositing a film on the surface of a base material composed of a metallic material by a cold spray process, as a raw powder material for film deposition, a powdery mixture at least composed of high carbon steel powder and soft steel powder is used, together with the supersonic flow of a working gas at a temperature lower than the melting point or softening temperature of the raw powder material for film deposition, the raw powder material is made to flow, and is collided at high speed and in a solid phase state against the base material to deposit a film at a high deposition efficiency, thus an extremely dense film can be deposited at a high deposition efficiency, and further, the hardness of the film can be adjusted.
