The present invention relates to a method for suppressing the expression of GABAB1 receptors and p-CREB to treat neural diseases. More specifically, the present invention relates to an expression inhibitor of GABAB1 receptors and p-CREB that contains ethanol or PTZ (Pentylenetetrazol). In addition, the present invention relates to a method for screening a therapeutic agent for neural diseases, a method for detecting GABAB1 receptors and p-CREB to diagnose neural diseases, and a method for suppressing the expression of GABAB1 receptors and p-CREB in an animal body using ethanol or PTZ. The method for screening the therapeutic agent comprises: a step of applying ethanol or PTZ to a sample; a step of suppressing the expression of the GABAB1 receptors and p-CREB; a step of confirming increase in the expression of GABAB1 receptors and p-CREB by treating a candidate material with the sample and a control group. The detection method is characterized by measuring the reduction in the expression of GABAB1 receptors and p-CREB in the sample.
