<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the reduction in service life due to a mounting error of a linear motion device having a cross section of a guide rail formed in a U shape and including no ball screw mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: A rolling surface 22a is formed in a position opposed to a rolling surface 12a of a guide rail 1 on each side of a slider 2. Both rolling surfaces 12a, 22a constitute rolling passages of rollers 5. The device contains two pairs of four trains of rolling passages.
