PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently improve productivity of a molding die 21 (a cavity surface sheet member 26) including a cavity surface (a transfer molding surface) 30 for molding an optical sheet 29 having a large area. SOLUTION: A coating plate 3 is spin-coated with a plastically deformable SOG (spin on glass) material to form a sheet-like die material 2, and a piece mold 7 in an ultrasonically vibrated state is continuously pressed in sequence to each of pressed ranges 10 arranged in matrix shape on the sheet-like die material 2, to work the cavity surface sheet member 26 (the molding die 21) including an entire matrix type arrangement surface 12 (the optical pattern molding surface 14) having an optical pattern 11 of required fine rugged shape corresponding to a pressing surface 9 of the piece mold 7.
