PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caster with a lifter, which does not have an excessive size in a vertical direction, and has an appropriate structure with the minimum number of components. SOLUTION: The lifter 2 is combined with a caster base 1 to be vertically movable, and lifts the caster base 1 at a lowering end position to receive a load in place of a wheel 4. A lever 3 includes an operation portion 30, an action portion 31 rotatably attached to the lifter 2, and a fulcrum portion 32 supported by a guide portion 13 arranged on the caster base 1. The action portion 31 lowers the lifter 2 while sliding the fulcrum portion 32 toward one end 13b of the guide portion 13 by pushing the operation portion 30 of the lever 3, and the fulcrum portion 32 is held on the one end 13b of the guide portion 13 by the load at the lowering end position.
