<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator capable of efficiently heating the amount of water necessary for ice making by an automatic ice-making machine and shortening ice making time by using the Mpemba effect. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The amount of water necessary for one ice making operation of the automatic ice-making machine 5 is stored in an auxiliary tank 13 provided in the middle of a water feeding path of a water feeding mechanism 4, is heated by an auxiliary tank heater 32 provided on the bottom face of the auxiliary tank 13 to exceed a predetermined temperature, and then is fed to the automatic ice-making machine 5.
