<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a collision energy absorbing member capable of stably compression-deforming each cylindrical tube in an axial direction by preventing a cylindrical tube base from falling over when a function of a collision energy absorbing member is achieved by the crush of a plurality of cylindrical tubes excellent in mass efficiency. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A plurality of long cylindrical tubes 9 are arranged adjacent to each other in a predetermined direction seen from the front face of a vehicle, and a bend restriction means 20 for restraining the base end of the cylindrical tube 9 from being bent in a direction crossing a predetermined direction when a collision load is inputted to the tip of the cylindrical tube 9 is provided in the vicinity of the connecting section between the base end of the cylindrical tube 9 and the mounting face thereof.
