<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fibrous filter which can be used for a long time even under high temperature/high humidity conditions by preventing formaldehyde from pervading to the circumference, in the case that the fibrous filter contains a binder or a flame-retardant which may generate the formaldehyde due to high temperature and high humidity. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This fibrous filter includes pieces of glass fiber-made filter material bonded together with a binder, that is, the glass fiber-made filter material is made to retain guanidine phosphate and a hydrazine derivative compound. The hydrazine derivative compound is heat-resistant and hardly water-soluble, so that it displays its function without elimination from the filter material under high temperature/high humidity conditions. In detail, the hydrazine derivative compound is a reaction product of hydrazine or semicarbazide, a mono- or dicarboxylic acid with the number of carbon atoms of 4 to 16, or an aromatic mono- or dicarboxylic acid.
