PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small apparatus which has simple structure and is used for efficiently separating a waste oil portion and a waste solid portion from waste water in a small scale business place or the like which discharges the waste water containing the waste oil portion and the waste solid portion of various shapes and various properties. SOLUTION: A preferential segregation apparatus of waste water containing the waste oil portion and the waste solid portion comprises a ceiling opened vessel which is equipped with a waste oil or waste water discharging pipe having a stop valve at its bottom and a waste oil layer selectively discharging apparatus which is connected with the waste oil or waste water discharging pipe of the ceiling opened vessel. The preferentially discharging apparatus comprises a transparent pipe which has a hole with a plug, a connection part with the waste oil or waste water discharging pipe, an air vent hole and a cover with a through hole and a shaft which has a knob part, a stopper pin and a plug.
