PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable flame retardant polyester resin composition for foaming excellent in flame retardancy, heat resistance and mechanical strength, having rheological properties which are advantageous to molding of a foamed sheet and so on; and a foamed article obtained therefrom and a molded article thereof. SOLUTION: This biodegradable flame retardant polyester resin composition for foaming comprises 100 pts.mass of a biodegradable polyester resin (A), 0.01-10 pts.mass of a (meth)acrylic ester compound (B), 0.01-10 pts.mass of an organic peroxide (C), 0.1-1.4 pts.mass of an epoxy-containing chain extender (D), and 0.1-21 pts.mass of a flame retardant (E), wherein the biodegradable polyester resin (A) includes≥70 mol% ofα- and/orβ-hydroxycarboxylic acid units, the flame retardant (E) is a bromine-based flame retardant (E1) and/or a phosphorus-based flame retardant (E2) and/or a camphorsulfonic acid (E3).
