The hob (1) has a burner (5) fastened to a metallic insert (6), and a pot support (7) attached to the burner and for turning a cooking goods container above the burner. A wall of the insert extends downward away from a hob plate (2). The wall is projected into a base part of the insert. The base part is extended inwardly to a central attached drilling. Openings draw combustion air into an area limited by the plate and a pan. The openings are provided in an area of the wall of the insert. The insert and the plate are made of stainless steel. The plate is made of glass ceramic and hard glass.
