<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary tube which is excellent in external shape compatibility for mounting a fine optical fiber cable, is excellent in cable insertion convenience and cable pinching and holding force, and further is excellent in transmission loss. <P>SOLUTION: The auxiliary tube 1 has an intervenient structure between an outer coating pinching and holding member and an optical fiber cable 3 to install the optical fiber cable 3 in the outer coating member, and the cross section of the auxiliary tube 1 is an annular shape comprising a major axis part 13 and a minor axis part 15 and having a gap part 17. Further, a portion of the minor axis part 15 has a weakened point having a curved form 19 or an inflected form swelling out with respect to the center of the auxiliary tube 1, and the gap part 17 is easily deformed by pressing force from the major axis part 13 or the minor axis part 15 in the direction of the applied pressing force. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
