PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a galvanized steel sheet, in which an oxide layer of the desired thickness is formed on a surface of a plating film by keeping the steel sheet as it is for a short time after bringing the steel sheet into contact with acid solution. SOLUTION: There is provided the method for manufacturing the galvanized steel sheet, in which the oxide layer is formed on a surface of a plating film by bringing the steel sheet into contact with acid solution after the steel sheet is subjected to the galvanizing, wherein acid solution having the pH buffer action with the dissolved oxygen concentration thereof being≥8.30 ppm is used, and the steel sheet is brought into contact with the acid solution, and kept as it is in the atmosphere for 1-60 seconds, and then, water-rinsed.
