PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately determine the damage of the inside of a rope, to reduce a size as an elevator rope diagnosis device, and to enable accurate measurement even if an elevator car is suspended by a plurality of ropes and distances to the adjacent ropes are short. SOLUTION: In the elevator rope diagnosis device 10 magnetizing a part of the rope 2 used for the elevator to detect leaking magnetic flux, and measuring the damage of the rope 2, the rope 2 is curved by be pressed to form a curved portion, and the curved portion is magnetized to detect the leaking magnetic flux.
