A PAGING METHOD IN MOBILE COMMUNICATION PACKET DOMAIN EVOLVED SYSTEM

A paging method in mobile communication packet domain evolved system is provided, wherein when there is a need to page a user equipment UE, a mobility management entity MME initiates a first paging for the UE within the last tracking area TA that the UE has been registered successfully. With the invention, the first paging for the UE is initiated within the last TA that the UE has been registered successfully, if the paging fails, then a second paging would be initiated within an adjacent TA of the TA that the UE has been registered successfully, and if the paging fails again, then the paging would be initiated within the other TAs in the TA list of the UE. In an evolved packet system, the invention could improve the availability of the paging, and the wireless resource of the system could be saved.
