<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for counting the number of persons wearing clothing on which a tracking mark is displayed. <P>SOLUTION: In the method, a computer-controlled recognition device is prepared, which includes a camera for photographing a tracking mark displayed on clothing worn by a person within a visual field, a tracking mark recognition module for receiving an image from the camera and discriminating the tracking mark in the image, and a processor for executing a computer function based on the tracking mark recognized by the tracking mark recognition module, and then the tracking mark displayed on the clothing is recognized from the image given by the camera by using the tracking mark recognition module.
