<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device which can reduce processing cost by minimizing the flattening processing of a control unit attachment surface, and can make it easy to check whether heat releasing grease is applied after the control unit is attached to a reduction gear box. <P>SOLUTION: The control unit attachment surface 20a for attaching where the control unit for drivingly controlling an electric motor is formed in the reduction gear box 4 including a reduction mechanism connected to a steering shaft to which steering torque is transmitted. The control unit attachment surface 20a is formed of a grease application surface 20c subjected to the flattening processing to which the heat releasing grease is applied, and an outer peripheral attachment surface 20d lowered by one step more than the height of the grease application surface formed connectedly to the grease application surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
