<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that can individually control a light emission time in each pixel. <P>SOLUTION: A scanner unit 104 sequentially outputs a first control signal to each first scanning line SW1 by horizontal period to carry out normal constant-speed line sequence scanning in a frame period. A driver unit 103 supplies a video signal to each first signal line DTL1 synchronizing the constant-speed line sequence scanning to display an image in a pixel array unit 102 in the frame period. The scanner unit 104 sequentially outputs a second control signal in a period shorter than the horizontal period to each second scanning line WS2, and carries out high-speed line sequence scanning faster than the constant-speed line sequence scanning, in a period shorter than the frame period and in parallel to the constant-speed line sequence scanning. The driver unit 103 supplies a signal for turning off light to each second signal line DTL2 synchronizing the high-speed line sequence scanning, and thereby controls timing of turning off light by pixel 101. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
