<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating method for an engine and the like capable of easily starting an engine by heating a cylinder liner and an oil pan mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: A first ceramic layer C1 formed of an electric insulating ceramic layer and a second ceramic layer C2 formed of a conductive ceramic layer on an upper surface of the first ceramic layer C1 are provided by plasma spraying on a metallic article. Further, at both ends of the second ceramic layer C2, power-feeding wires 4 are arranged, and the second ceramic layer C2 is made to be a heat generating body by supplying power between both power-feeding wires 4 wherein the first ceramic layer C1 is used as a heat induction layer. Then, the cylinder liner 2 and the oil pan mechanism 3 can be heated with the ceramic layer as an heat generating body in the heating method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
