<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an uninterruptible power supply apparatus capable of switching an on-line method and an off-line method for a commercial power supply of a wider range. <P>SOLUTION: The uninterruptible power supply apparatus 1 includes a rectifier 11 which converts an alternate current supplied from a power supply 2 to a direct current, a secondary battery 12 which stores the direct current that has been converted, an inverter 13 which converts the direct current to the alternate current, and means (14-18) which select either an off-line method operation mode in which the state of the alternate current supplied from the power supply 2 is detected based on the detection result, the alternate current supplied from the power supply 2 is supplied to a load 3 at a normal time, but if there is a failure in the alternate current supplied from the power supply 2, an output of the inverter 13 is supplied to the load 3, or an on-line method operation mode which always supplies an output of the inverter 13 to a load 3 even at a normal time. The apparatus also includes a means (19) for variably setting reference values used by the selection means (14-18) depending on the state of the alternate current supplied from the power supply 2 for selecting an operation mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
