<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying unit for a cutting apparatus for cutting a mother substrate for a flat display panel, the cutting apparatus having the conveying unit and a cutting method using the conveying unit. <P>SOLUTION: The conveying unit for the cutting apparatus includes: a suction part for vacuum-sucking an object to be cut; and a pressing part for pressing the object to be cut to the direction opposite to the sucking direction of the suction part. The pressing part presses a cullet portion of the object to be cut, so that the object to be cut is cut into a portion to be received by the suction part and the cullet portion. Since the conveying unit is used for receiving the portion cut from the object to be cut and carrying out a breaking step, the breaking efficiency and the productivity are improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
