PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fusing method by which an aluminum wire and a copper terminal can be joined more securely with high quality. SOLUTION: The fusing method for joining an aluminum wire 22 and a slit type terminal 20 which is a copper terminal includes: a process of performing plating 38 with a metal containing zinc in at least one of the weld zone of the aluminum wire 22 and the weld zone of the slit type terminal 20 ; a process of arranging the aluminum wire 22 and the slit type terminal 20 in prescribed joining positions respectively; and a process of joining the aluminum wire 22 and the slit type terminal 20 by pressurizing and energizing with electrodes 40, 42 and fusing the plating 38.
