<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversing device for a flat workpiece, capable of reliably reversing a flat workpiece. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This reversing device includes a work loading part 44 in which workpieces conveyed from a loading line Li thereto are arranged, a work unloading part 36 which is located under the work loading part 33, and a generally semi-arcuate half-circumferential sliding passage 5 which is formed from the work loading part 33 to the work unloading part 36 and disposed around an axis parallel to the loading line Li. When a workpiece is disposed in the workpiece loading part 33 with the front side thereof facing upward, the workpiece is reversed by laterally sliding along the half-circumferential sliding passage 5 by its own weight while the rear surface of the workpiece faces toward the inner peripheral side of the half-circumferential sliding passage 5, and the workpiece is disposed in the work loading part 36 with the rear surface side thereof facing upward.
