<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combined harvester which can prevent threshing failure caused by feeding a large amount of grain straws into a threshing chamber in a deeply threshing state, the clogging of a discharged straw-conveying device or a cutter device caused by the change in the posture of discharged straws after threshed, and the like, when a threshing depth conveyer is moved from a state controlled in a deep threshing direction to an ordinary reaping work state during a headland-reaping work or an obliquely reaping work. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The combined harvester is disposed with straw quantity detection means 62a, 62b for detecting the quantity of reaped grain straws in the grain straw-conveying route of a pre-treating portion 2, and executes the operation control of the threshing depth conveyer 21 with a threshing depth control means 22 only in a shallow threshing direction when the straw quantity detection means 62a, 62b detect a small quantity of reaped grain straws.
