The invention relates to alternative methods for producing a collection line and to a collection line for solar modules, wherein the collection line comprises contact partners on one end for connection to mating connectors of the solar modules, wherein one cable connects the two contact partners to one another electrically and the cable comprises an external sheath, wherein, according to the invention, the cable is designed having its external sheath malleably undulating and has an external housing made from a dimensionally stable but malleable plastic.
