The furniture (1) has a mat (4) i.e. cushion mat, arranged on a base frame (3) to form a support and/or seating and/or couch surface for a person using the furniture. Head, torso and leg areas (5, 6, 7) of the furniture are arranged in upper, middle and lower areas of the furniture, respectively. A part (8) of the base frame is simultaneous pivoted by an electric motor around an axis (A) aligned horizontal and transverse to a longitudinal direction (L) of the furniture. The motor enables a translational displacement (T) of the frame in the longitudinal direction relative to a box (2). The base frame comprises a bottom pad made of polyurethane foam or leather.
