The method involves producing a single- or multi-layered preform by injecting two materials at a station (1) of two of injection units in an injection blow-molding machine (10), where a blowing station (2) is arranged between the two injection units. A multi-layer plastic hollow body is blow-molded at the blowing station. Thermoplastic material is injected in the third injection unit (3) for forming an outer layer on the plastic hollow body. The plastic hollow body is output in an output station (4). An independent claim is also included for an injection blow-molding machine including an injection unit.
