PURPOSE: A gas lifter for a vehicle is provided to prevent passengers from being hurt by a tailgate by supporting the tailgate using gas pressure when a user opens the tailgate. CONSTITUTION: A gas lifter for a vehicle comprises a cylinder(10), a piston unit(30), and a valve(50). A cylinder comprises a chamber(20) in which a gas is filled in inside. A groove for moving the gas is formed on the inner wall of the cylinder. The piston unit is composed of a piston(31) and a rod(33). The piston divides the chamber into a first chamber and a second chamber. The rod is integrally combined with the piston and the rod and makes a linear motion.
