PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt type concentration apparatus wherein the speed of a filter medium can be set optionally at any speed from a low speed to a high speed without forming a liquid pool on an endless belt. SOLUTION: The belt type concentration apparatus is constituted so that a rotating/pressing member 5 having a plurality of disks 8 arranged side by side is abutted on an adequate portion of the endless belt 4 between an original liquid supply part and a concentrated sludge discharge part, the original liquid supply-side filtration surface 4a of the endless belt is formed to have a downward slope and the discharge-side filtration surface 4b is formed to have an upward slope, a wedge wire 9 and a plowing-up blade 13 are slid/abutted respectively on the discharge-side back surface of the endless belt 4 and the discharge-side filtration surface, and a liquid pool detector 14 is arranged at the terminal end of the original liquid supply-side filtration surface 4a. Since the speed of the filter medium of the endless belt 4 can be set optionally at any speed from the low speed to the high speed without forming the liquid pool on the original liquid supply-side filtration surface 4a, the performance of separating the filtrate can be improved and the concentration of concentrated sludge can be stabilized.
