PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide techniques which can improve the usability of equipment by determining whether a job ticket sent to a device is processable by a printing device or not under the situation in which the job ticket specifications which can be processed by a printing system are variable. SOLUTION: The equipment ability information related to a print job is specified, and whether the specified equipment ability information is effective or not in the printing system is determined. As a result of the determination, when it is determined to be effective, a printing process is carried out. When it is determined to be not effective, after whether a print job can be executed by the printing system or not is further determined, execution of a printing process is controlled.
