<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation support having sufficient ability to be required for base isolation of a building and, further, having durability. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This base isolation support includes: an upper support seat 2 fixed to a building body: a lower support seat 3 fixed to the foundation; and a support body 1 connected to the upper support seat 2 and the lower support seat 3. The support body 1 has a connection part in each of an upper end and a lower end of a cylindrical part 11 thereof, and the connection part has enlarged diameter parts 12 and 15 continued to the cylindrical part 11 and a recessed part 13 in an end surface. The upper support seat 2 and the lower support seat 3 have housing chambers 23 and 33 for housing the connection parts of the support body 1, and the housing chambers 23 and 33 have tapered surfaces 24 and 34 on an opening side, enlarged diameter wall surfaces 25 and 35 and a projecting part 26 projecting from the bottom toward the opening. With displacements of the upper support seat 2 and the lower support seat 3, a bottom surface 13b of the recessed part 13 of the support body 1 and end surfaces 26a of the projecting parts 26 of the upper support seat 2 and the lower support seat 3 are rolled, and surfaces of the enlarged diameter wall surfaces 25 and 35 of the upper support seat 2 and the lower support seat 3 and surfaces of the enlarged diameter parts 12 and 15 of the support body 1 slide with each other.
